Since joining forces with Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove we have garnered 44 RSVPs for this Saturday's Bus to Blue! Sydney is looking for fellow Democrats to join her in pounding the pavement and speaking with voters about why George Whitesides will represent them with diligence and dignity in Congress. Description of the event:

We’ll meet in Baldwin Hills at 7:30am on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Canvassers can park their cars at the Bus pick up location and then ride the bus (leaving at 8am PT sharp) from LA to the Antelope Valley. Who doesn’t love a mini-road trip? Once we arrive in CA-27 we'll have a program, training and hit the doors of Democratic voters to introduce them to George Whitesides and our other candidates.

Lunch will be provided after the canvass and we expect to arrive back in Baldwin Hills 

at 2pm.

Dining With Derek — August 1, 2024 — Sponsors Needed

We can make a difference in national politics and who is the speaker of the house from right here in CD 45!

The best thing we can do for the environment is to have democrats running the US Senate, House, and White House.  The Green Fundraiser will be hosted by Cerritos homeowners Norma and Alan Williamson who renovated their 1965 Cerritos tract home into a comfortable, modern fossil fuel free 100% all

solar electric home: no gas heater, no gas stove, no gas hot

water, etc. The Williamson home was the cover story of the 2006 Solar Today Magazine (much of the technology described is still state of the art today) and are featured on the PBS/NOVA website: https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/solar/house.html

There will be a cooking demonstration of an induction stove, the latest green technology. Induction stoves use magnetism to cook food faster, safer, more efficiently and are a healthier more sustainable alternative to gas stoves. We will also engage in a scavenger hunt to find all the “green tech features” around the Williamson home. A generous donor will give $1 to the Tran Campaign for each item people find. The more people who play, the more money we donate to Derek!

Silver and Gold Sponsors will take a personal photo with Derek Tran while holding up a giant poster check with their name and sponsor level on it; in addition, Gold Sponsors will have their names included on press releases. Sponsors will also have opportunities to win raffle prizes like Newport Landing Whale
